Hi, I keep getting a dvd err 1265 open partition when loading a game, all my backups are on verbatim -r burned at 4x. I used to have neogamma r8 beta 7, but all the games suddenly stopped working ( don't know if kids reset something or what ) so I came back and installed the new one for 4.2 and did everything like before and keep getting this error. Can anyone help? I hope I'm making some sense. Oh, when you download the first files there is something called a DS Store that looks like this...DS Store...6,148...502 File DS Store...and so on, is that supposed to be there? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I am also getting a 1252 disc Id error, Lego Indiana Jones works, Avatar loads but won't play. The 1265 opem partition error is on Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility which I have bought two times already and don't want to anymore. Any Ideas? I'm really confused. Everything used to work, now doesn't.

Its crazy how this error is the only error that nobody can really seem to answer, I've been looking around for days for a solution to this and tried numerous things and using verbatim -r dvd's and nothing works, nothing..
I probably would have given up on using disk backups by now if that was the case. Info on this error is scattered and inconsistant with any one failure, but it obviosly relates to a disk fail situation.
Error 1265 is an open partition error, something that hardly should appear if using DVD media. In other words, user shouldn't be getting this error on discs --- impossible to say the cause.
Error 1252 is as Odd says an inconsistent error. If your Wii is 1 year old or newer, high probability of D3-2 drive which means this is its way of telling you "ain't gonna happen."

There are two different routes that you can choose for modding your wii. You can either Hard-mod your wii with mod-chips or you can Soft-mod. On the Flip-Side you can soft-mod you wii using only a SD Card... The guides that are here have been tried and tested and do work... DON'T FOLLOW FAIL-TUBE VIDS.... If you are on 3.1-4.1 system menu you can use the guide by dogeggs: [[Guide]]
If you are on the 4.2 system menu the you can use the guide by Shadowsonic2: [[Guide]]
