Wii MicroSD support with SD Jacket?

Will the Wii load a 2gb Micro SD with a full SD jacket on it?

It will but it is advised to use a sandisc or similar sd full card.

Try it, if you get error with boot mii then this could be your problem

I know it worked for my brother in law but as I said before if you run in to errors with bootmii etc it could well be the sd card. What make is it?

I have 4 microSD cards, 3 are Sandisk and 1 Kingston 2GB all used in standard adapters and they work fully with bootmii.

The micro to full SD adapters are straight through adapters with no electrical changes, I know because I opened one up and took a look inside.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I do know from experience in Dogegg's 3.1-4.1 guide that MicroSD can trip you up. As others have said, most often the case it's BootMii that can fail with MicroSD. I do recall that users with a Sandisk MicroSD more often than not have success. Kingston definitely avoid with regard to softmodding.

You could try it, it's not like your Wii will blow up because you haven't used a recommended card or anything. You should find out pretty quick whether it works or not.
