New Black Wii - General Softmod questions
I currently have a white Wii, but it's age is showing, it's warranty is over, and it's becoming a pain. Gamestop has a great deal wheere I can trade in my old wii for a new black one for $50. I want to take advantage of that.
However, I have some general questions about the Black Wii and it's ability to be hacked with using homebrew:
1) How much different is the Black Wii compared to the White Wii? My White Wii is one I got in 2006. Besides the color, of course.
2) What firmware does the Black Wii come with? 4.1, hopefully.
3) My white Wii was easily downgraded from 4.2 to 4.1. However, if the Black Wii comes in 4.2 naturally, will I be able to downgrade it safely? I used the WeHackWii.com guide to downgrade and worked flawlessly.
4) Any other general homebrew hacking I should be aware of?
The reason I ask all this is because I would rather try and fix my white wii for $50 than buy a new black wii if the black wii is just going to be more difficult to homebrew.
