best wii hack route for me?

so i have a few questions concerning hacking my wii.

which is the best softmod hack to use "if theres multiple" on the latest offical firmware. is there anyway to hack so the games play fluently without extra menus and stuff? seen on videos where you gotta go threw alot more menus to play the games. say theres a new wii game out i want to play but requires a new firmware to play what happens then?

No game requires a certain System Menu, rather a certain IOS and are completely independent of each other. If your Wii is @ 3.1-4.1, use Dog Eggs tutorial. If @ 4.2, choose between Shadow Sonic's or Messie's guides. You'll have to use a backup loader (included in each/every tutorial mentioned) in order to load your non-original backup discs. A word of caution: the videos users are so fond of are called FAILTUBE videos, and there's a reason for that label.

If you posted an introduction then you would have recieved a welcome from one of the mods with links to the guides for your specific wii. but for now look in the recomended guides and tutorials for your wii menu 3.1-4.1 or 4.2

As Nightstah said, (man you was quick)

Well I have hacked my Wii and the only thing I do is just the SNES, Genesis, and NES emulators and nothing more. I'd say it's totally worth it, not just for the games that will never be on the VC but also games you've already purchased from the VC as the emulators really help to clean them up and even properly stretch them to fit the screen better. While a few games are slightly slower (not noticeable unless you are really ocd about speed) they are still perfectly fine.

There is a PS1 emulator, but from what I hear, it really isn't all that good at the moment and doesn't really play that many games. In the end it's up to you whether it's worth it or not, as it's your Wii, not ours. I can only say is don't feel like you have to go all out and do every single thing that others do, just to feel like it was worth it.

Well as long as you follow the guide to the letter, you shouldn't brick (not saying that you won't, cause there is always that freak accident). I used Shadowsonic's guide, but many seem to prefer Messie's guide (I've yet to look at it). Once you get everything setup and done with, you shouldn't have much to worry about. Everything is simple enough and nothing really overly complicated.

Should probably post questions that are relevant to the guides within the thread of the guide.
