Game Partitions - Keep or Lose?

1st post, please go easy on me

I've noticed that when I transfer an ISO to my WBFS USB drive with WBFS Manager 3.0, only the game (G) partition seems to be transferred, but if I do the same with Wii Backup Manager, the game (g), update (u), and sometimes other partitions (c and o) are transferred. Either way the games seem to run fine from WiiFlow, USB Loader GX, or CFG USB Loader. This makes me think that I only need to keep the game (G) partition, but...

I want to convert all my ISOs to CISOs to save disc space, but I am unsure if I should use the (G)-only versions from my USB drive (transferred with WBFS Manager) or if I should use the original (pre-transfer) ISO with all the partitions in tact.

Please advise if these 'extra' partitions are needed and if there are any pros/cons to keeping/losing them. Your help is much appreciated!

You only need the game partition. The rest just contains updates and useless padding.
Awesome sig picture does not work

Without the 'extra' partitions will the games still run from disc if I decide to burn them? Basically, I want to make sure there is no downside before I go ahead and make my CISOs.
