    USB for game covers etc.

I've softmodded my 10 y/o nieces wii, but kids being kids, i really dont want to leave her access to stuff on the homebrew channel in case she cocks anything up and bricks. So, I was playing about with the paths on gx loader to save box images to the usb, and it works - so long as I have the SD card in. If I remove the SD card, the images dont show up.
Ideally I want to be able to store all the boxart on the USB drive, so that I can remove the SD card and hold onto it myself. Then if any further work is required I can plug in the SD card and run the homebrew channel as normal (kinda making my niece a limited user). Is this possible OK?

Yeah it possible... basically all you would need to do is format your HDD to FAT32 (after backing up your games of course), and create a 3-4gb partition depending on what you want. In this partition you would place the entire wiiflow folder you see on the root of your sd card, and the wiiflow folder in the apps folder on the root of your sd card so it should look like this:

sd root > WIIFLOW > covers (covers go in here) *there will be other folders such as "music" in there as well
    and
apps > wiiflow > .dol file

In the other partition of the HDD you'll put your games just as usual.

    Hope I didnt lose you
