Pre-Note: If you have no working Wi-Fi Connection, you can try selecting 'Load iOS from SD Card' instead of 'Download from NUS'

    a) Load and Homebrew Channel and run DOP-Mii, on the IOS Selection Screen, select 'Install An iOS w/ fakesign' by pressing down on the d-pad then A on the wiimote. You should now be in the trucha bug restorer portion of DOP-Mii. Load IOS36 and select Downgrade IOS15. Each time it asks, select 'Download from NUS'
Make sure you get no errors. If Loading IOS36 doesn't work for this step, press B for no IOS reload when asked to load IOS. Although It should do these steps almost automatically, I'll just include the info.

    b) In the fakesign installation, once iOS15 is downgraded, it should begin patching iOS36.. Make sure to install the patched IOS36 with all these patches selected (Just Say Yes to All of the ones that come up)
    Install IOS to slot (36)
    Hash Check (trucha) Yes
    ES_Identify Yes
    NAND Permissions Yes

Then Press A on Install Patched IOS36. Again, everytime it asks, choose 'Download from NUS'

    c) On the same fakesign installation. Load IOS36 and select Restore IOS15. Each time it asks, select 'Download from NUS'Once done, return to homebrew channel and continue the tutorial"
    Yes thats the one

Ok, I must be doing something wrong. I am sorry for my n00bness. This is what I tried:

I ran dop-mii and selected ios36 w/fakesigning then each time it asked (I think was 3 times) to install I just selected my sd card and then hit a.

I got some errors saying it couldn't find the wad in /wad folder, but it still looked like it installed something , so I moved all the wad files at the root of the sd card to the wad folder and re-ran the ios36 w/fakesigning and then got a black screen with a bunch of code. I turned off my wii and redid that step and it looked like it went ok, but my wii keeps hanging when I do a syscheck (I let it run about 15 min, but only after a few seconds the progress stars stop moving) and when I try to scan in dop-mii.

here is what the syscheck made though
    sysCheck v1.1
    Developped by Erik Spyder

    System Menu v481.
    Running under IOS36 (rev 3351).
    Found 74 titles.
Found 22 IOS on this console.

when installing syscheck I renamed sysCheck-Skip202.dol and sysCheck-Skip202.elf to boot.dol and boot.elf per the instructions.

also when using shadow's guide it says "a) Load and Homebrew Channel and run DOP-Mii, on the IOS Selection Screen, select 'Install An iOS w/ fakesign' by pressing down on the d-pad then A on the wiimote. You should now be in the trucha bug restorer portion of DOP-Mii. Load IOS36 and select Downgrade IOS15." -I don't have an option to downgrade IOS15-

    Questions:
in dop-mii do I need to install the top option the one without fakesigning?
should I leave the wads at the root level of the sd card as per shadows instructions?

Thanks for the help so far!

Use the sys check in my sig
Dont think you need to rename anything.
    System Menu v481.

Under this part you should have all your ios's listed and what versions.

You open the csv file saved to the root of your sd card on your comp in notepad or word. Copy and Paste the whole contents here.

Yes the wads should be on the root SD:\(wad)

Yeah, that is all that is in the csv file. When I run syscheck it gets to the point of scanning and then just hangs and I let it go about 10 min and then restarted my wii and that is all that was in my csv file.

So when the wad's are in the root level and not in the /wad folder on the sd card that is correct?

this is how your sd should look like as in Shadows guide

    X:\apps\
    X:\00000001\
    X:\wad\
    X:\private\
    X:\boot.elf
    X:\IOS38-64-v3610.wad
    X:\IOS36-64-v3351.wad
    X:\IOS15-64-v523.wad
    X:\IOS15-64-v257.wad
