Softmodded wii unable to connect controllers, two weeks after modding it

okay, about two weeks ago I softmodded my 4.2 wii using this tutorial and following everything in the instructions http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html

I havent gotten any wii iso's to play, but I had loaded up the snes and n64 emulator. But aside from that, my younger brothers just used the wii for the wii sports resort game. Two days ago, the wiimotes wouldn't connect, I tried connecting them at the priiloader screen, that didnt work. I also read somewhere that you could reconnect the remotes by pressing and holding the sync button on the wii for 15 sec, and that didnt work.

Can I please get some help on this?

Did you also press the sync button located in the Wii remote's battery compartment?

yeah, of course
The gamecube controller i plugged in worked perfectly fine by the way.
