    WODE VS Softmod and NEOGAMMA

What is the advantage of a WODE device vs a good softmod and NEOGAMMA install? Other than it looks pimp of course.

WODE is easily updateable and allows both disc and USB loading from the disc channel on all drives. A softmod on a D3-2 Drive can't load DVDs. Neither can a softmod load DVDs from the disc channel without using cIOSCorp (a risky mod). Finally, softmods can not load USB HDD through the disc channel nor can it even load Gamecube ISOs from an HDD in any loader. WODE can.

Only bad part about a WODE is you have to open it up to install it. No soldering though so if you are handing at taking stuff apart you will be gtg.

And neo gamma needs to use certain ios to run games and such while with the WODE you just pop the game in and run it with no need for 002 error fix and such.

the ONLY bad thing about WODE really is that it doesn't fully support the new chipset, atlleast thats what i read from their site, AND if you break open the case of your Wii, you void your warranty, atleast when you softmod the Wii, Nintendo will actually fix, or repair if you brick it. If its not under warranty, then you'll have to pay about $90, just don't tell them you bricked it, just tell them that you don't know why it doesn't work, one day it worked, the next day it didn't, they'll fix/replace it for sure, i wouldn't tell them anything, they may send it back out of principal..lol who knows, less they know the better right?

Technically installing any unsupported software on the Wii voids the warranty. (HBC)

I totally agree, but on one hand if your wii is totally bricked, just black screen, not semi-bricked, the repair technician has no way of knowing what you have installed, or whats really wrong with it, he CAN suspect it has been bricked, but they have no way of really knowing, unless you tell them in your repair technicians note, they simply hook loaders into it, and reload the official wii software overwriting anything on it, a fresh install(including latest firmware), they're too busy to investigate a 'corrupt' wad you got from the net or whatever. If you've got a situaltion where its bricked with an error on the screen and you're under warranty, smack it off the ground, be careful not to leave marks, and when it arrives at Nintendo broken, they'll count their losses due to your crappy packing methods or whatever, and most likely send you a new one, or repair it overlooking any mods as they'll automatically do a fresh install afterwards anyways, but from what i can gather when I spoke to the representitive, they recylcle most returns, and send out a new one, because of the new chipset.

Softmodding or chipping the Wii voids the warranty instantly in all cases no exceptions made and even though you can lie about it to Nintendo customer service that dosn't mean they won't be able to tell you've modded it.
