    Priiloader update block question..

I know priiloader blocks updates, but what exactly does it do? Does it cause the system to completely ignore the update, and never prompt the user for input or does it show the update screen saying you can update but not allow you to accept it? I have it installed and working, just curious what I might be on the lookout for if anything.

Not really a big deal for me seeing as I'm on 4.2, just something I've been curious about for a while now.

    Thanks!

If you do update even on 4.2 it will remove your soft mod. It should come up with an error msg when you do try to update... I havent ever had the guts to try it.

^^^^^ Thats what I was curious about.. Thanks!

Oh, I know not to update, I was just wondering how exactly priiloader handles updates with the block on, in other words say you had a < 4.1 system menu and priiloader installed with updates being blocked. You pop in NSMB normally you'd get asked to update - with the block on will the wii act as if there is no update there and go on to play, or does something else happen? I always assumed that nothing at all happens but was curious.

In case you are wondering why I'm curious, my kids play the Wii while I'm at work. I've taken many precautions (like priiloader, I run everything from homebrew and remove the SD card when I'm gone), but wanted to be sure that nothing strange will happen. I've tried to get it into their heads to NEVER update, but I know that once that magical screen that says update comes up they will probably start to think that Nintendo will give them free games and candy if they accept. I know that the update itself wouldn't happen but was hoping that it wouldn't dump you into the priiloader menu if you did try and do an update. That being said, priiloader causing an error code on an attempted update is absolutely perfect. It'll scare the crap out of them thinking they broke the Wii.
