Format it to fat and then try to format it with wbfs manager
Hey guys,
I was wasting space on my 500GB WD Passport, so I bought a 250GB WD Passport Essential. It's one of the newer ones with the VCD stuff. I downloaded the patch and got it hidden. I successfully formatted it to WBFS with WBFS Manager 3.0. I transferred over some games from my old HD and then tested it out. It seemed to work. I then try to put on a copy of Madworld with WBFS Gui Intelligent, but it completely black screens my Wii. Cool, np. I restart my Wii, and now USB Loader GX doesn't recognize my HD anymore. So I unplug it and (perhaps too hastily) reformat the drive. When I try to format it to WBFS again with WBFS Manager, I get "An error occurred while attempting to format the drive." Same result with WBFS Gui Intelligent.
My searches didn't solve the problem. Yes, the partition is set to primary. I formatted it first to NTFS. Nothing works. And I'm sure the drive is compatible, since I formatted it once to WBFS already (!).
Any ideas?
Thanks.
