    Mario Party 8 - Wii Remote 2 (Player 2) won't sync/connect.

    Hello everyone,

After searching a bit but not finding anything helpful here I go.

I'm a bit of a new user at this but not to the scene, and not to computers. I have The Homebrew Channel installed (1.0.6; IOS61 v21.29), USB Loader CFG v40, IOS249, NeoGamma R7, WiiFlow (IOS249) 1.1 R25 using Beta 1.1 R42. All setup.

Mario Party 8 loads from USB Flash Drive using any of these. Friends and myself are able to play a parts of it, it seems without a problem with my HDTV Vizio. The problem is, I cannot get my Wii Remote P2 to sync. So no 2 player action is possible. I've pressed buttons 1 & 2 several times after reading that sometimes the sync has problems and multiple tries work. I have tried all the arrows, even A and B. In combination. The batteries are doing fine.
I even copied my Original (Mario Party 8 is from online) Wii Sports using WiiFlow to Install to my USB Flah Drive then loaded the game from USB and the Wii Remote P2 sync'd correctly.

Is there something I'm missing? When I try syncing Wii Remote 2 (P2) the blue lights just flash for a few seconds then quit while it's being aimed at a close distance.

I'm in the States so my Wii is NTSC. MP8 is PAL, but I can see that shouldn't be a problem.

Thank You very much for your help.

There are many to check. I'll wait for your PM. Thanks Very Much. I figured a bad/uncleaned ISO was causing it, but wasn't.....totally sure.

Thanks a lot for the help. The new image exists back to the menu correctly now. Wii P2 still won't sync. There's something else I've missed...it seems. Anyone have any ideas?

the simplest solution is sometimes the hardest to think of.

Replace the batteries, read instructions for syncing wii remotes from your user manual, make sure it's working before you boot up the game.

If your problem still exists and it doesn't matter which remote you use(if you've tried switching remotes and having the defunct be player 1 and the good one be player 2) and you still have problems, it's definitely gonna be your copy of the game.

Don't forget to thank me if I helped you out!

I already posted that the batteries weren't the problem. Reading a manual isn't needed as the Wii usage is very, very easy to figure out but thanks for the reminder. Yes, the Wii works otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it. I now have a good copy of the game and deleted the other. Sync still doesn't happen for player 2 yet, as per normal, but I had forgotten about pressing the Home button to access Wii Remote Settings to Re/Connect. That way works but it shouldn't be needed. The copy I have (MP8) also now goes back to the Menu correctly. I have different USB Loaders installed, and USB Loader GX is the only one that resets (crashes) just after its logo shows...thus going back to the Menu.

Any other ideas out there? Meanwhile, I'll use the Home button to sync while I still check around the Net. Thanks a lot for your replies and help.

if it's the newest version of USB Loader GX, then download a previous version. People are having problems with the newest one I hear.

Don't forget to thank me if I helped you out!

I hadn't had a chance to check on that yet. Thanks for the note. I'll reply again after doing so.
