    Softmodding woes :/

Hello peeps, I am trying to softmod my second Wii. The first one had a faulty DVD drive and I managed to install Wiiflow OK. Now I am trying to repeat the process BUT every USB loader shows up all the scrubbed ISOs on the USB hard drive but as soon as I select ANY of the games a black screen appears and in white letters 'an error has occurred please eject disk etc...' I know the game isos are fine as my other Wii plays them (Both consoles are UK/Pal). The DVD drive was modchipped which I removed but still gives same error. I am on 4.2 ios249. I tried 222 also but same error, is this a motherboard fault?

    To answer your question..

    No.

It's probably an IOS issue, possibly even a corp issue.

Post a syscheck and maybe it will help.

I'm guessing here, but your problem lies in the reason for the disc drive error when you're loading. Possibly something wrong with your drive. Does it play regular retail discs?

Don't forget to thank me if I helped you out!

No the drive does not play disks unfortunately, possible a laser issue as it does try to read.

USB Loaders simply require the presence of a Wii drive, or some part of it at least, whether it reads disks or not is immaterial when loading from USB.

Is it just me or shouldn't that IOS249 be a little more Trucha Bug patched than it currently is?
