Simple way to install some usb loader?

    Hello again,

today I tried to install different usb loaders and did fail with all of them.
I feel like back in 1995, setting up Slackware for the very first time, only with the difference, that back ten, I _did_ succeed...

My wii always seems to hang itself, whenever I try to install one of those IOSes (222 and 249), which seem essential for those loaders. I try to follow these instructions like on

    http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...222-223-a.html

by the letter, but it whenever I select to do something about 249, it says >>Reloading IOS 249<< and that's it. I wait for a reasonable time (1/4 of an hour or so), then I reset the console.

Any ideas, what I could be doing wrong? Wifi is working and reasonably fast, so this aught not to be an issue.

Isn't there some dead simple installer somewhere, that does all this for me? Something like a wii apt-get, maybe

    -J

    I heard of un-crackable Wii s (LU64, I guess).

Anyways, try this : No need to post other guides here

What system menu do you have?

What guide did you follow to do the softmod?

If you followed a guide from here then I'm pretty sure you didn't give it a propper read.

Just triple check the part in the guide where they tell you how to install the cIOS

You probaby don't have a cIOS installed and your IOS36 probably isn't Trucha patched. Of course this is a total guess.

Run syscheck and post the result here and we'll know for sure.

    Run a syscheck. SysCheck 1.6.rar

Load from the HBC, it will save a file to your SD card when it's done. Open it on your PC and copy and paste the results in this thread.

EDIT: Not quick enough, sorry tealc.
    Damn I suck!!!!

The trucha patch was successful, so I suppose it's not that it's uncrackable. The wii is hardmodded (dunno which chip), so this might have to do with it, but then...

As predicted you have no cIOS.

IOS249 is stubbed, IOS223 and IOS222 are also stubbed.

You are also running 4.2 so will need to use one of the softmod guides to sort that cIOS issue out. Using Messie's guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html Part B and Part C, using ShadowSonic2's guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html that's Steps 4 and 5.

    Fail.

Try reading the guide again and know that you really are silly for missing it.
