Installed Homebrew channel but now what?

Hi guys, ive had a read around but i still kind figure out what to do, im a complete newbie to this so i imagine its such a silly easy to solve problem which ive managed to overlook.

I managed to get the homebrew channel on my wii, i boot it up via bootwii on an sd card. I load up homebrew channel and it connects to the net and thats all. Im guessing homebrew doesnt come with any applications and thats why i have none? Ive looked around at other applications to 'boot' from homebrw but i get no option what so ever to boot anyting from my homebrew. I can boot sd stuff from bootmii but im didnt manage to get that working.

Basically what i want is to get the homebrew browser on and to be able to play downloaded wii games from an external hard drive. Could someone please help me sort this out?

To use the homebrew browser, just download the home browser, and place it in the apps folder (if it doesn't exist, just create a folder named 'apps') on a sd card and place the SD card in the wii. For USB Loading, use the Loading, Ripping, and Playing Wii Game Backups from an External USB Hard Disk Drive guide.
Awesome sig picture does not work

What tutorial did you use? One on here?

If you go to the tutorial section there are guides for all system menus there.
There is a bit more to it than just installing homebrew.

Put this on your SD card as Bliepo said. It should look like this:

    SD:\apps\homebrew_browser

If you are wanting to download official wii games through homebrew_browser that is not possible. And we do not advocate piracy here so make sure that you don't ask anything about where to get them.

Sorry i didnt realise that was against the rules! my bad

Ive made an apps folder on my sd card it looks like SD:\apps\homebrew_browser_v0.3.8

do i need to remove the v0.3.8 ? if yes / no what do i do then? do i boot it up via the wii data management as the homebrew channel gives me no options! All i can do is click Home and then it gives me 'About' 'BAck to boomii' etc etc ?

I used a tutorial in january last year, not from this site and only just be able to resume my quest to hack my wii !

    Im on 4.1E

I just downloaded the homebrew link krafter provided and although it said it was corrupted i think it was only a .png file (image) so it should be fine. Looking at the homebrew fodler i downloaded and the one on my sd card they look very different, is this where i went wrong?

DO NOT UPDATE what ever you do as 4.1 is the preferred menu.

This is a working guide to soft modding your wii

Have a look and see where you might have got to on that

I just attached the homebrew_browser directly off of my SD card. It may have some exta stuff downloaded with it, I'm not sure. If you want just google homebrew_browser and I'm sure you will find a virgin copy of it.
