Wii soft modding issues

OK guys... got a little problem. I have a Soft modded Wii running 4.1U firmware had 202 222 223 249 250 cios everything was running good and priiloader.4 however had a couple glitchy issues with Guitar Hero. So, I decided to update my 250 which helped on a friends Wii but I must have made a mistake and now strangely enough the Wii system comes up fine, Homebrew loads but none of the homebrew apps work including wad manager, or any of the cios loaders. Any help on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

What did you use to update cios250?

I used the CIOS Installer. But now my issues is that I can not run any Homebrew apps. I just get a black screen. Funny thing is that my system menu works, my homebrew front end works, I can play store bought games and I can get to my usb hdd....is there some typ of wad manager app that is stand alone and does not use any ios's (249) from the console?

Post a sign check and lets have a look

First of all what revision of the cIOS installer did you use? What were you on before? Example: were you using cios38rev17 and you updated to rev19? Please give more information.

That is exactly what I did.... and unfortunately I can not run any of my HBC apps including DOP-Mii so I can not even offer a sign check for your viewing pleasure.....sorry

CB2_BB2_Cios38-r17-installer.zip

Try to install cIOS with this.

Load with bannerbomb or bootmii.

You can also try and load dop mii and syscheck this way.

Dop-Mii_v12_CB2_BB2.zip

CB2_BB_SysCheck_1.6.1.zip

If you mix or merge the IOS wrong, this is exactly what happens. So follow what Krank has suggested, you'll get there. Be aware, wiihacks softmod tutorials do not recommend Rev 19 for this very reason.

Well...I tried all three files you sent, one at a time ofcourse... Tried running through System Menu the way you start the banner bomb as a SD channel, I tried to run them through priiloader with the boot mii option and also tried to run them through the bootmii option of the hbc and tried to run them directly through hbc... In all cases the Wii drive light blinked once breifly and then froze at black screen.....=(

I thought u had it there..... there has got to be some way to run one of these apps without accessing 249 at all......shoot.... Is there any way to force a 4.1u update?
