Unhappy HDD not recognised by any loader

My wii is a softmodded 4.2E and has cios249 rev 19 + hermes v5 installed.

I have tried many loaders (uLoader, USB Loader GX, WiiFlow, neogamma) and none recognise the drive. USB loader counts from 30 to 0, WiiFlow hangs on please wait, neogamma cannot find the drive, uLoader gives me an error saying sector size needs to be 512, is there any way to fix this?

I am currently using 150gb of the drive as ntfs storage, the other partition is a 100gb WBFS drive.

It is in the correct usb port.

I am totally at a loss for what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

    Greetings:

You should stop by the Introductions Section of the site and say hello (something we ask of new users/first-time posters). You'll get a personal greeting and links to our most popular guides. That being said, you might take a look here at our USB HD gaming thread; it has links to compatible USB HDs as well. Welcome to wiihacks.

Edit: last I checked, our 4.2 guides didn't utilize Wani's cIOS 249 Rev 19, either FWIW.

Not all drives are compatible. Did you check the compatibility list?

edit: also rev17 is what we recommend as of now.

Yes it should be compatable, the gbatemp list seems to be down, however i googled it and people seem to have got it to work, they just dont say how.

EDIT: Just tried it with rev17, still no go. However it gives me two opportunities to load the usb now, the second time I can choose the ios. 249 didnt work. 222 doesnt work.

You can also try formating to wbfs. Check out the usb loading guide in my sig. If it's compatible you should be able to get it to work

Trying going through wii flow without drive turned on, 249 wii flow first and if that doesnt work try 222, when you get to the screen about plugging usb device in turn drive on! Give that a shot and let us know what happens.
