    problem burning iso

    hi all!

up until now, I havent really burnt any iso files (of games), only played them via a usb drive.
however, now when coming to burn an iso image (sized 4.7gb), my nero keeps giving me errors on writing the last pieces of the image.
do i need to have special dvd disks? i tried with 2 different dvd types, and with 2 different burning programs (nero, imgburn) - both give me same problem, report errors in the last segements. as if the dvd is not in the correct size?? or maybe my dvd writer is bad? even though I'm having no problems burning regular isos which are smaller than 4.7gb.
    dvd's i'm using are 16x 4.7gb.
    would appreciate any help

Verbatim dvd-r discs are the best. Burn with IMGburn (free download) at a slow speed like 2 or 4x.

I'm guessing you have tried more than one iso, as it could be a problem with the iso.

Yeah of course, tried multiple isos. none worked.
So you guys think it's just an issue of the media?

Usually media and/or speed if you don't suspect the disc image. You never said what brand/mediacode or speed you were using (CMC MAG mediacode discs usually error out on the tail end of the burn on high burn speeds)...

Also what wasin the error message that led you to believe it was a size issue and not a memory (buffer) issue in the burning?
Another silly suggestion; Reboot and shut down as many tasks in the background as possible before burning, Make certain there is no adware/trojans running in the background (malwarebytes).
