Configurable USB Loader, Games show up but when booting it freezes.

I've searched and sorry if anyone has this EXACT problem, but I just want to figure this out.

First I'll start by saying I follow guides better than actually doing stuff without it, so go easy on directions.

    I'll give some info..

I use Configurable USB Loader on Homebrew Channel on my 4.2U wii softmodded.

Configurable USB Loader version is 57a (alpha)

I use a 150gb HD with 50 gigs partitioned and formatted to WBFS1 (I don't know if the 1 matters)

Before asking if the HD is comparable, it has worked before, and really well. I redownloaded all my Wii games and put them on using Wii backup manager.

They recently stopped working on my harddrive by freezing when I boot a game.

    It says:

    "Booting Wii game, please wait...

    IOS(223) mload"

    and it just freezes.

I've tried on an 8gb flash drive and it works perfectly fine.

I can understand if it's my harddrive, but it has worked before. Can anyone help me out?

If I missed any information please tell me and I'll edit. Thanks.

Firstly i would put V56 on and test again just to rule out 57alpha
You also say "partitioned and formatted to WBFS1" do you have more than one partition? and is wbfs the first?

Well I updated one at a time and tried it, I could have skipped V56 though. I started at I THINK v44 or something.

I have two partitions on my HD, 100 for normal storage, and 50 for wbfs. I'm not sure which is first, I just know it works fine because the games show up in USB loader and everything, it just doesn't boot. I was just playing with my flash drive and it worked perfect.

    Thanks for the reply!

I take it that the flash drive is one wbfs partition?

Yes the flash drive is in one wbfs.

I would really rather not format all of my HD because I do use the storage half, and it's worked before.

By the way I appreciate the help.

Oh I have more information, I formatted my drive using the wii/configurable USB loader.

It said something like, "This drive is not WBFS, would you like to format?"

Here's what I will try, I will reformat the WBFS partition using WBFSmanager3.0 and I'll edit if it works or not.

EDIT: This still did not work. I do not understand and I'm getting a little frustrated. I guess I will try and go back to Configurable USB loader 56..

EDIT 2: Still not working on 56c.

    Booting Wii game, please wait...

    IOS(223) mload

    frozen.

Should I change the boot settings or whatever to IOS(222)?

I followed a guide that told me to put something about IOS(223) mload in the config or something for this on my sd card. Could that have anything to do with it? Even though it has worked before?

Sorry for double post, just wanted to bump because I figured out my problem.

I did some peeking around on Configurable USB Loader and saw that the partition I use for my wii booting was NOT set to Primary, and instead set to Logical 6 or something. I reformatted my drive and put the partition for wii booting as Primary. I went into Configurable USB Loader thinking the problem was solved and it was still freezing up. I tried USB Loader GX and it works perfectly fine.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it!
