    replacing chipset

    I bought a wii on ebay. its in japanese language. I would like to change the chip in it with an english or multi-region chip. theres a 78% chance I have the gc2-d2b chip in it. I need to know which chip I need to install in my unit to change the language. I don;t know where to go to find what chip I need for my wii console. Can anybody help me

    Changing the language on the wii is not done by replacing a chip. You need to region change your wii. Use the search for more info and make sure before you region change it to make a backup of your nand memory so you can always repair your wii in the worst case scenario

    And dont worry about the D3-D2 drive! Just play your backups through any of the 3 usb loaders.
    It's much better than playing off a disc.
