Multiple questions concerning my wii and Monster Hunter Tri

    Dear people of this forum,

Before i begin let me tell you that i DID use the search function and i cannot find anything concerning my problem. So can you please help me out? =)

The thing is, i successfully Softmodded my wii about 3 months ago. It was a great thing i did, playing all kinds of wii games and stuff. But now comes a weird concern. It seems Monster Hunter Tri is coming out in a few days. And i prefer to buy this title instead of downloading it. This due to some friends with 'virgin' wii's are gonna play the official ones with network play in it. So as it sounds, i don't wanna be left out.

The first thing i wanted to know, if it's possible to update using "official" nintendo updates, is that possible? Will the softmod **** up the game/wii? I think in my honest opinion that i will not be able to play this without a 'virgin' wii, but thinking about it 3 times, i also don't wanna lose my softmod. So, can anyone tell me if Monster Hunter Tri is gonna be a problem for me?

If so, please tell me why and how cause i only have 16 days left =p.

    Yours Truly

You can use Priiloader to block updates. No game yet requires any firmware version or indeed a retail disc to work online. This may change as time progresses, but you'll find any workarounds here.

if you take an update from nintendo it will either remove your mod or leave you with a brick.....just wait till the game is out then there will be solutions....if there are any problems

but will i for example get banned if i go online with it? I mean, will nintendo ban my ip because of my firmware? MH3 is there because of it's multiplayer ya know, and also, can i still access my nintendo shop channel? or is that also blocked because of the softmod?

    bump

so I just bought this game, and want to play it on my soft mod wii... am i going to be asked to update? and if so can I get around it? For the record, I got the demo to work prior to this, which I assume required updating too, but that was not the official disc.

    Oni_link. For goodness sake.

You bump someone else's thread and then ask pointless, already asked and answered questions already covered in the thread.

    Shame on you.

Good point, sounds like a reason for a thread closing.
