    hacking the wii with broken lens

    hi anyone here knows how to mod the wii with broken lens?

    what does broken lens mean? the DVD lens?

    yeah. the lens of the wii is broken. and my wii is japanese.

    If your end game is to play games via usb hdd, then you can still hack it no problem. Be advised though that I believe many usb loaders still require a working dvd drive (I know that doesn't make any sense but I've seen it a few times.) Try different loaders like neogamma, wiiflow, usbloaderGX, and CFG. Hopefully one of them will work for you. Good luck!

    It does not matter if the lens is broken I think the issue is that the programs somehow call a function that is drive related. As long as you have a drive attached to the wii you should be fine. I think it also should work with only a drive board connected to the wii without the actual hardware of the drive it self, i.e. the laser, spindle etc.

    by the way. i can't access my wii settings. whenever try there's some kind of webpage being displayed.

    That sounds suspiciously like the opera semi-brick problem as described here.
