Forgive me junkmail. I've done so many searches on how to fix this issue, so if I insult, then I appologize. Only thing is though, all the threads I find that say they fixed the problem just aren't as detailed as I feel they should be. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I feel I need in depth detail on how to fix the sticky black screen loading, which I feel I'm not getting enough detail. And as far as bad downloads, after the first 2 I would think that maybe they were just bad. But 4 in a row? That sounds a little unlikely that I can get that many bad downloads in a row. I could be wrong, but that's a bit high of a failure rate to me. I feel I should have at least gotten one good one by now.

You have a few things working against you. When you get a game try your best to get your own region. Normally blackscreen is an ios issue, but I doubt thats the case since the games are so old. I assume you're loading via usb? Is your usb drive compatible? If you're loading via discs what brand are you using, what are you burning with, and at what speed?

I'm loading through USB and I'm pretty sure my drive is compatible cause I've downloaded Okami PAL format and have been playing it for a while, no black screen yet.

My money's on bad downloads. Older games like RE4 should not be giving you any trouble at all. Try a different copy and make sure it's your region.

Well I'm pretty much done with RE4 because I got an official version from a friend of mine and installed it. So RE4 is no longer the issue. It's Rygar, Super Paper Mario, and No More Heroes that I'm working on. Although for RE4, when I had the downloaded PAL version and tried to start a new game, it would stick to the black screen. After I installed IOS222, it did actually load without sticking on a black screen. Rygar had the same issue without IOS222 that RE4 did. After installing IOS222, it actually let me start a new game on Rygar and it loaded, but (with IOS222 still installed), after the first save point in Rygar where you go into the next area and it has to go to the black screen load again, it did stick to the black screen.

Download from reputable sources or install your games from an original game disc. From your own history: the HDD appears to work, your softmodding appears fine, the games that actually load and play a bit before freezing-are probably bad ISOs or installs. Game ISOs do not load and play at all if the IOS is missing.

The reason there is no easy answer is exactly what you have encountered-mixed histories and different sources of the problems. Just as a fever is not definitively diagnostic, a black screen does not always mean the same thing.

If you want simple-buy game discs and play exactly as Nintendo wants you to. Soft and hard modding means that we are making the Wii do something that was not intended-problems do arise.

For your downloads-find a site that also includes the SFV file-that will help you determine before you get started if the download files look good.

What games are you trying to load? My firet thought would be they are all corrupt. Try to download one from your region, unscrubbed if you can. Try to burn one to disk. Try to load it to another usb device, etc.

Bad downloads + noob =waste of time and space

Redownload the games that do not play, try to force Pal display on pal games, get the latest ioses38-53-55-56-57 for the new games... that is enough I think
