NeoGamma DVD Read Error 1167/cIOS Help

I've successfully softmodded my Wii and currently have cIOS38rev14 installed in 249. I burned a backup game onto a DVD-R Windata disc at 1x and tried to launch it via NeoGamma. I get DVD Read Error 1167. I've checked the error index and that particular error is not listed.

I'm wondering if there is a new version of cIOS that I need to fix this error. If there is, should I delete the current 249 (Any Title Deleter, I believe I use) and install again, or can I install over it?

Just install over it with rev 17. Do any other backups work though? If your wii is new u may not be able to play back ups off a disc.

I know for certain my Wii will play backups; it's one of the earliest editions. However, I'm not sure how to install a new cIOS. I blindly followed the full hacking guide here and have no idea what homebrew I need.

Cios 38 rev17 You will need an internet connection on your wii. Put this file in the apps folder of your sd, open homebrew channel click on the installer and let it install. Restart your wii and then see if its worked.

Is it a particular game or multiple games? Do your proven games still work? Have u changed anything lately ie new version of neogamma etc?

The game is Alice In Wonderland. This is the first backup I've tried running.

Ok, could be bad iso file or rip. Could be bad burn also. You could change your media to one thats recommended like verbatim and you could also burn with nero or imgburn which are all confirmed as good programs for wii games.

I'll burn it again; I already use ImgBurn. If not I guess I'll have to suck it up and buy Verbatim.
