I don't want to format my usb hdd everytime !!

i want to know that every time i use WBFS MANAGER 3.0 to format from usb hdd into wii drive to play games off my usb hdd i have to re-format it after connecting it back again to pc... it says the drive is not formatted ... can this be avoided ??... because its really irritating to format every time i want to copy a game iso on it n play it on wii ...

You do realize if you format/set to WBFS for the entire disk windows itself doesn't recognize the drive, right? That's normal; did you check out this thread for guidance?

Lol when windows asks you to format click CANCEL or close the window. Windows can't read WBFS so it says you need to format it, but you don't. Use WBFS manager to view your drive and always click CANCEL when windows asks you to format.

NP; I still learn new things here, that's another reason I luv wiihacks!

Example: maufrog has forgotten more about the inner workings of Wiis than I could ever know myself (let alone forget

i had been working on hacking my Wii for the past 5 days spending hours at night trying to figure out what next to do n what not ... n i wuz in dilemma wether to re-try everything from scratch or not since u told me ur not sure wether i should start over again or not n would everything juz rewrite n be simple or juz brick my Wii... so finally last night i decided to burn the ships and go for the kill with no returning back ... my weapon was ShadowSonic2's guide ... n it worked like a charm !...

Hey Splash 104. Great to see these queries. we are all striving for knowledge. I struggled for a while. I am now trying to get my head around WBFS & windows 7. When you open WBFS Manager, Ignore the reformat message. refresh drives. I have 150 plus games on my transcend HDD. If you check the drop down menu you will see the drive letter options. If you can't remember your HDD drive letter, Take a look in my computer, Although windows doesn't recognise (WBFS) the drive letter should be there with nothing else ie: No hard drive size. remember the drive letter. Go back to WBFS manager, Choose your drive letter from the drop down menu. Then click Load. Wait a moment for it to read HDD. It will load, then you can choose to load more ISO files from where ever you store them.

Share your tips noobs need to learn from each other. some times info is a little deep.

yupp i have already done all that thanx though ... tell me a good site to download wii games for PAL ... do u need to change settings of every game before running it ??...

P.S. for anyone stuck at any point following a guide to hack Wii 4.2 ... i would highly recommend to follow the Shadow Sonic2's guide for softmodding any wii ... u can find it by using the search option on this site ... and for those who are in 2 minds wether to retry everything again from scratch or not ... then do so ... i took this risk and it overwrote everything without bricking or giving any probs ... Enjoy ur Wii !

No your config settings should be saved, put it on force/ or auto patch
