I have some files on the root of my SD and I don't know where they go?

I have a startup.elf file and a wadboot.dol file on the root of my SD card and I dont know where they go I have had them there for quite some time now. Also, I have a bottmii.ini file in my bootmii folder. Am I suppose to have this?

After a successful softmod of your Wii, no files from the softmod are actually needed. For folks that do not like seeing an empty bubbling HBC menu screen, you can keep the Wad Mgr folder in the Apps folder and also keep an empty Wad folder for any future wad files you want to install. Any homebrew apps that need to be run under the HBC menu should also be kept in the Apps folder.

keep bootmii, safe in your pc

edit: sorry if you only have the .ini, and missing the other file, I guess you don't need it
