installing IOS249 on 3.4U; IOS15 Downgrade error

As you can probably see, I'm pretty new here, so bear with me.

As stated in the thread title, I'm trying to get IOS249 on my Wii, but having a little trouble downgrading.

For reference, I do NOT have wifi working on my Wii, and am using .wad files from NUSD using the PC. I am using this guide.

For my specific problem, after getting all the .wad files from NUSD and putting them into the "wad" folder on the root of my SD card, during the process, this always shows up:

Preparing downgrade of IOS15 from revision: 523 to: 257
Getting IOS15 revision 523...
<Load IOS from sd card>
Could not open file: sd:/IOS15-64-v523.wad
Could not open file: sd:/IOS15-64-v523.wad.out.wad
Error reading IOS into memory
Downgrade failed
Press any button to exit...

Multiple times I've tried downloading that specific .wad file from NUSD in hopes something just went screwy, but no good. I'm afraid I'm stuck on this matter, and I would like to continue.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

The WAD files for the downgrade are to be on the root of the SD card and not in the WAD Folder.
Try that and see how you get on.
