USB Acting weird Can only play one game.

    Hello,
I have been a member for only a little while but have had my modded wii for sometime now. Using regular dvd's and burning them works fine fact love it but heres the real problem KIDS. Kids have ruined alot of the disks and I don't keep all downloads and I backed up the ones I bought becasue they are beyond playing. So I visit here once in awhile to see whats new and love what goes on here. I have installed usb loaded gx and works great as long as the only game I want to play is Off Road something. All the other games I have put on the hard drive do not work. Monsters vs. Aliens, Mario Galaxy, Smarter then a fifth grader and so on all dont work loader see's the game can change settings, but when I go to play the game just goes to a black screen and then nothing. I have to unplug the wii and start it up again. Is there a setting I am missing or something? Have tried for 2 days and I am losing my mind.. Please help.

What usb loader are you using? Again what Cios is currently installed? By following Messie's guide one can assume you are on 4.2. I am running wiiflow and have updated my Cios. I have very little issues with games from usb, other than the occaisional one I normally patch to 249 and burn before giving up.

Here are links to the latest priiloader/cios revisions along with WiiFlow.

Yeah probably 38 rev 14 or 17, Updating the cios may help, also there is a list of ios that games use to run you might want to check. As far as WiiFlow have you tried extracting it directly to your HDD after download if you have a fat32 partition on it.Sometimes if you try to copy it from sd to HDD you may run into problems, at least I did. I just deleted the entire program, downloaded from the link I posted and it ran fine after that. There is also much info in that link as far as errors/fixes. I have GX and WiiFlow installed as some games work well from one and not the other.

The link I posted above has 2 download options network install or wad. The .wad file will go into the wads folder on your sd. Go to homebrew/wad manager/ make sure Nand device says<disable> press A select ios249 select sd as device. I installed using base 38. The download will contain a few different wad files for different base installs. Click on the link and read it well before doing it. It(CiosX) appears to have better support for usb loading. The same for WiiFlow as a channel put the .wad file in wads file on sd install via wad manager.

I updated the cios to the version you linked to, and I installed Wiiflow as a channel. I can get almost all the games to play but in the middle of some of the games it freezes up and says game disk can not be read refer to manual. Cant get smarter then a fifth grader to play at all. I am using ios 249, should I install more ios's. And another question off topic, I have also been trying to get this to work which I am not sure doesn't seem to be any support for it yet, but I own a computer co. and was thinking why couldn't you use a crossover cable connected to the wii and then to external drive so that the drive doesnt have to be by the wii or eventually cant network drive and read games from a network? Just a thought. Thank you for your help so far, any ideas on why they lock up all the sudden would be great.
