    Wii upgrade / downgrade firmware

Hi - I have a modded wii with a modchip in it. My cousin put the chip in for me but I don't know what type of chip it is. I was trying to run a game - Super Mario Bro - and it upgraded my wii. I found out too late that I can use the WiU1.1 to remove the update in the iso before burning it. Now I wanted to know if I can downgrade my Wii back to where it was before. Right now it said 4.1U.

What is the best firmware for me to use?

    Thanks for your help.

Stay on 4.1 just don't update to 4.2. Thats what I would do.

Agreed, 4.1 is the place to be. The only thing different with 4.2 is nintendos anti pirating bullsh@t which makes softmodding more complicated.

You may cause more problems for yourself by downgrading, it is recommended not to downgrade.

Thanks all for your help. I will stay with 4.1U. But my Super Mario would work only for a little bit then it error out and I have to reboot my Wii. Does anyone know why this is? I have already burned a new Super Mario with the upgrade removed and it would still do the same thing.
