    error 2011 and 4100

I have a wii with firmware v3.4u. The HomeBrew channel is installed. After that, I tried to install USB Loader but I get Error ret=-2011 every time. Also I can’t install WAD manager or any app other than HomeBrew apps meaning those are given in wiki.

You need a cios, you can't just install and expect things to work with out following a step by step procedure.

As oddgriffin says, you need to install a cIOS. It's basically your wii saying it doesn't have trucha bug to install WAD's. Follow steps B & C of this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html OR steps 1-3 of this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html.

    Thanks guys
I will try that and let you know. I was wondering if I need to upgrade my firmware. what do you think. Also is there something like bad or partial install of HomeBrew Channel. I mean is it possible to miss some stuff at the beginning and have it work, or it makes no sense.

Also if that was Dog Egg's tutorial, you need to update to 4.1 as the guide states; you will have problems with Priiloader on any Wii that's @ 3.1, 3.3, or 3.4 System Menu. Unrelated but made me wonder...

To be honest, the main reason previously for NOT updating to 4.2 was due to the lack of multi-region support; thats now been solved with Starpatch 4.2.5 (or above). You may as well just update all the way, but if you only wish to go to 4.1 here is Doggeggs tutorial: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

Its great guys. I followed DogEggs list and on step 2 I had no Game-Cube controller so I skiped it for now and on step 3 I got error 1035 and it didn't downgrade IOS15. I think it worked very good but probably I missed up a lot previously. So I think for my previous error 2011,4100 and 1035 and looking at Error index, there must have some IOS's goofed. I let my nice friend DogEggs to know about this and he asked what is my sys menu and if I did list for v4.2 that answer is my is v3.4u and no I didn't follow wrong one. Any idea? Can you help me on this?

OK, on step 2 (using bootmii) you dont need a game cube controller....... use the power, reset and eject buttons (Move right, select, backup). Anyway, follow this tutorial to update to 4.2 then follow the 4.2 guides and the issue should more than likely be solved.http://www.wiihacks.com/customizatio...-released.html

I see everywhere we are warned not to upgrade to v4.2. I would like to upgrade to 4.1 but then I am not at that stage according to DogEgg's instruction. would it be OK, you think.

    huh?
the 3.1-4.1 softmod guide walks you through the process of updating to 4.1.
If I'm not understanding you, it's cause you're not being clear enough.
