    My Brain Hurts

Can someone please just give me a straight answer on how to get gh5 to load from usb loader gx on a 4.0 ntsc wii. Please dont point me to the gh5 tutorial, there are thousands of posts on there allready and they contradict eachother, thats why my brain hurts.

If your brain hurts, maybe you should take a break! Then come back later and concentrate on the tutorial itself! Dont worry about the other comments! It sounds like they have just confused you! Rest and patience is the key.Good luck!

I agree with bmarlo, focus on the tutorial until you have completed it and don't worry about the comments. If you still have issues after the tutorial then you need to find out what your specific problem is.

If you have any more specific questions about the tut I would be glad to help if I can.

    Cheers

You need to boot with a cIOS that has IOS37 in it. Like installing hermes cIOS installer v4, install IOS223 as 38 merged with 37. Then in the games settings of USB Loader GX, set GH5 to boot with IOS223. Look in my signature to install Hermes IOS222, 223.

the problem with that is that i have read the posts. some say it has mess up other games. I dont want to lose a few games just to gain one. right now every game except gh5 and band hero play great. this includes rb2, rb beatles, smash brothers, super mario, and about 35 more.

You are not going to uninstall anything just install the missing ios needed to run the game. Stomp _442 is referring to the setting for that particulair game if I am not mistaken, not setting gx itself to boot all games from 223. He is advising you on how get what you are asking for.

got it to work booting from 249 GH5 and band hero
    1. Download the cIOS222/223 installer and extract it to the apps folder on the SD card/USB device

    Wii ----------------------

    * Unplug ALL Gamecube memory cards and controllers.
    2. Run the cIOS222/223 Installer with the HBC. Use IOS249 if it asks so.
*Select cIOS222. In the new menu, choose 38 merged 37. Let it install, it will exit when done.

3.Run the cIOS222/223 Installer and again use IOS249.
    * This time select cIOS223. In the menu, choose 38. Let it install and exit.

    4. Run the installer again. Use IOS249.
    * Now choose IOS202. Now choose 38 merged 60. Let it install and exit.

Installing 222/223 and booting from 249 are two totally different things. You only use 249 to install 222/223, it does not alter 249 in any way.
