game freezes both retail and backup

i've been trying to get wii sports resort to work on my softmod wii. i tried the retail version first and it froze quite a bit. so i got the backup to see if i could try and patch it. i got the ios for it, tried jap, ntsc and pal backups on disc, and finally put it on hdd and still the same problem. the events freezes mostly on basketball and archary. my hdd is a 250gb iomega. i've used most of the backup loaders suchas neogamma r8 beta and rc versions. usb loaders wiiflow, uloader and usbloader gx.

i've tried changing all the options suchas vidtv patch, video modes. brickblocking wiiscrubbing and i've used a lot of disc's trying to get it to work. i also have the same problem with valhalla knights, lego batman and mario tennis. please can someone help me

Where did you get the ISO from? If it was by ripping the retail disc that gave freezing then try to download a copy. Ripping from a damaged/faulty disc will give same errors when ripped even though install appers to be 100% successful (simply because if the laser can't read the data in order to run, it cant read it when trying to rip).

Also how many blocks have you got free on your system? Wierd things like this sometimes happen when its getting full to the brim (look in wii data management).

i downloaded the game from different sites like wiiso.com and megauploadforum. and its always the same problem. i got 223 free blocks

Hmm, 223 is getting pretty thin. Try deleting a freely downloadable channel e.g. biggest hog on mine was internet channel intro movie and internet channel. Delete them then re-download to an SD card. Run the game then and see if it helps.

i've now got 1400 blocks but the problem is still there. didn't get through one game of basketball. any other ideas?

Try re-installing the IOS it runs on, search for Tealcs thread in tut area.

Is it issue with just this game only?

no its with lego batman, mario tennis and valhalla knights. i'll have a look about the ios. any particular ver?

If you look in Tealcs thread game name is followed by IOS and version required

I can see IOSs 55, 33, and 9 for the games you say (1 is missing info)

I will leave you to find the thread and check which versions as you will need to read Tealcs instructions further down to find out how to use wiiscrubber to get IOS info for the game that has no info.

no that didnt work either. i've been trying to get it to work now for about 2 months and i might as well face it, nothing is going to help. thanks for your help anyway.
