Its obviously going to be different for everyone depending on what is installed. If you are worried about space then look into Triiforce. You can install all of your games to an emulated NAND on SD card or External HD.

That is a link to a tutorial on how to make forwarder channels for Wii games. He was asking about installing virtual console WADS. And as I stated the best way to instal ALOT of wiiware/VC games is Triiforce. You can even install all your wads to an emulated NAND at the same time, eliminating the need to use wad manger and install them all seperatly. Not to mention you can't brick your wii installing a bad wad to an emulated NAND.

VC wads range from arround 20-300 blocks.

I've been trying to find an answer to this as well. From what I read, to install triiforce, do you not need to back up your nand using bootmii? For us with newer wii's, you cannot dump the nand because we cannot dump using bootmii (unless you go and buy a gamecube controller). Before I use that as the last resort, I was wondering if there are any other ways to get triiforce installed without having to go and buy a gamecube controller just to do that one step...

You don't need a gamecube controller with bootmii IOS anymore. Use the power and reset buttons on the wii menu to navigate bootmii and make a NAND backup. I have bootmii installed as an ISO and my wii is new and I had no problem navigating bootmii without a GC controller.

You can also use someone else's nand backup.

Is there anyone that can give me a nand backup? I tried using the power/reset buttons but it only turns it off or resets it. That's why I figured the instructions say to first try those buttons, and if it doesn't work, to use a GC controller.

Anyone else's nand backup won't do anything for you.
Sent from my van, down by the river.
