Hello To All & Help Needed

    Dear Friends,

I'm new to this forum(10mins membership to date while surfing the web for a solution to resolve an "issue" which my little girls may "kill" me for

Background - Bought a US moded set in Aug 08(i really have no idea what's inside). And only played with original Sports and bootleg Hannah Montanna since. Yes, only 2 discs for my 6 yrs old.

Issue - Just bought a Wii Original Resort today, slot it in and it asked for update. While i contemplate what to do, it kinda shut down my system. Restarted it with only sound and blank blue screen. Tried my other discs, and the same happens. I reckoned i've screwed it up.

Help - Any kind soul can shorten my learning curve to get this sorted out will be much appreciated. Can't bear to see my little girls sad faces when they realised daddy screwed it up. Many thanks!!!

    Cheers

Did you actually run the update? The words in your post suggests not but we need to be sure.

Does your TV show a blue screen without a video feed? Some TVs go black, some blue, some just have noise.

What sound do you hear? The normal Wii menu sound?

Try unplugging and leaving for 30 minutes in a well ventilated place.

Check your TV cables. Try the Wii on another TV.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
