    Chip is not easier.
    Soft mod does not need the case to be removed.
    I have softmodded 10 wii's so far that where chipped because the owner's wanted usb loading.

    chips are a lot less hassle to maintain than softmods, if you like messing with stuff though softmod is the way to go...

    Thumbs up wii hardmods ..so easy these days & NO BRICK RISK

    takes me approx. 4 minutes for a hardmod from start to finish..with out rushing...lol

    as fast as I can... under 2 minutes

    with power tools.... under a minute

    however rushing is just for the fun..and not recommended

    then you just play and no bricking or continual changes to your wii with software

    Thanks

    Great info guys.

    Nope, I don't "like messing with stuff".

    USB usage seems cool, but not necessary.

    What chip do you recommend?
    I have version 3.4

    I will probably order from Canadamods.ca
    (I live in Guelph, 120kms away. Unless someone can recommend something closer that I pickup?)

    Thanks again!

    Chip=$$
    Softmod=Free
    Seeing the look on my friends face when I fire up the Wii and load games via a themed usb loader=Priceless

    Good luck on whichever method you choose and enjoy the possibilities

    I have to say, the sundriver looks really awesome.

    If you want something easy, i recommend getting that from mod chip depot and installing it yourself. You'd have to get a 2.5 hdd, but i think its worth it. Just watched a video of someone installing it in a couple minutes.

    I think they have free shipping for that particular mod chip, and 5 bucks for anything else.
