If anybody did have answer, it would have been doubtful it would have been within the 31 minutes you waited before bumping your thread. Please don't be so impatient, it helps your cause not one bit and is more inclined to be ignored than answered when you do that

As for your problem, well it might a modding issue, which is what here is about, but you leave out a lot of specifics, does it happen with SD Card in or out or both, same with USB devices, have you tried with them in & out, are you sure it is not a dodgy power cable, or bad connection between Wiimote & sensor bar?

The more info you can tell us, the more that can be eliminated and the easier it is to help.

My wii freezes now & then with a black screen is not exactly a lot to go on!
Please remember your manners - say Thank You if someone helped , it doesn't hurt

sorry I guess I should of waited longer my apologies. It freezes with or without the units (usb drive or sd card) plugged in. I have to restart it a few times to get it to work after a while of leaving it off even. Usually it freezes when I am in a loading screen or even on the main wii menu. It freezes randomly.Shadowsonic on here had to help me with using alternate wads I was having problems getting the soft mod to install (i remember having to download alternate dop ios mod files) thats all I really know ask me questions and I will answer them I will even pay the person (paypal) who can help me out with this kinda like a tech support lol. Thank you all again I am sorry for being so impatient.

    Kind regards,
    Trew

Did it happen before modding, during modding or only after modding?

Do the disk drive lights flash once or twice or at all prior to freezing, do they flash at all if you can't power up when you press the power on button?

Do you know if you have boot2/priiloader installed? Do you ever get to the menu screens on boot up?

If this only happened after modding, and it powers up to some sort of screen every time you power up, but freezes a lot of the time on a menu loading screen, I think, imo, this may need moving to the bricking section for someone with better knowledge of the inner workings on getting it back to a virgin model and maybe starting over?

the wii plays just fine its just very very random that it freezes and to answer your questions...

the hdd is ac adapter powered so its always on. it did this after installing the priiloader. i dont have a boot2 avail because of the model is too new for using boot2. priiloader 0.30 is what is installed. when i power on the wii even from the wiimote it will sometimes just stay as a green light and sit with a black screen until i power it off by holding the power button down then starting it up again a couple more times after hitting the sync buttons it seems to work after a couple tries. I can play my games for ours and hours again like i said its just random on the freezing some games like harvest moon animal paradise freezes constantly. usually on a loading screen etc... others are just sparatic. hope this information helps.

In Priiloader settings.. Why did you set Auto Boot as disabled, set it as "System Menu"
