You have net framework installed?
Don't know if anyone can help or if this is even a valid thread here.
I have WBFS Manager 2.5 one my laptop and it is working fine in windows vista. To free up the laptop I installed all versions of the manager from 2.2 and up and none of them will open in my desktop running windows XP SP3.
The error message comes up that WBFS manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have tried all I can think of to correct this including virus scan and system restore. I am running as administrator.
Can anyone suggest a solution??
Just what oddgriffin says.
Have you .net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed? If not, click: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe
Maybe you better update to WBFS Manager 3.0. You can find that in the USB loader guide in my sig.
I tried to do that but for some reason explorer cannot display the microsoft update page and the diagnostics say the internet connection is ok. All other web sites work just fine.
Tried WBFS manager 3.0 but 2.5 seems to work better for me.
I know this thread is rather old now but I just starting having this same problem with my wbfs manager today. I've been using it fine for over a year and today I went to use it and I just kept getting the error message that wbfs manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. After reading the few posts in the search results I came up with, I wasnt any closer to solving my problem. The suggestions I read said install .net framework 3.5 sp1 or downgrade to an older version of wbfs. I already had .net framework 3.5 sp1 installed on my cpu so I looked away from that possibly being my problem and I tried unistalling wbfs and re-installing back to older versions...nothing worked. I never actually completely un-installed .net 3.5 and reinstalled it which I'm guessing may have fixed my problem as well but finally I just went into add/remove programs and hit the remove/change button and repaired .net 3.5 to its original state and success....wbfs manage finally launched. I use wbfs manager v3.0 on my 32 bit system. I just wanted to update my fix so other people who may search the error message like I did may see that just because you already have .net 3.5 installed as I did you may need to do some fixing or reinstall anyway.
I installed 3.5 but had the same error, was running a repair when I searched the forum and came across this. I can confirm that running a repair even on a fresh 3.5 install works a treat.
