Us how can I play games from another region

I am hoping this is a SIMPLE SIMPLE hack as I really do not want to brick my Wii. I bought my Wii in America, then recently moved to China. The games I can buy here are either from Japan or "back ups"....is there a way I can play these on my American Wii?? Namely the ones from Japan, I don't mind much about the cheapo/pirated copies.

You would have to softmod the wii, look in the guides section.

i know that I will need to softmod the Wii, I guess I am asking for more specific help. I looked around the guidea for a while, but I do NOT want to brick (or risk bricking) my Wii, and so I don't feel comfortable soft-modding my Wii without specific help - not a general step-by-step.

Well, you wont get that unless you pay someone to do it. I don't really understand what you are asking. Do you want someone to tell you how to do it in this thread? I don't see how that would differ from going to one of the guides. You aren't unique, nobody wants to brick their wii's..

There is no simple way of doing it. If you want to mod it, follow one of the guides that is appropriate for your system menu version. You wont get anything better, or simpler than the guides here at wiihacks, so either mod it, or don't. No one is going to show up here and say, hey, just do these simple steps, and it will be safe, and you will have a modded wii. Those guides are the way its done. If you have questions about the guide, or are confused by parts of it, or if you have trouble doing them, ask for help in those guides, people will answer your questions.

If you are still scared, you might want to pay someone to install a mod chip for you, they're safer. You could install one yourself, if you aren't scared of opening the wii and doing stuff inside it.

Like albertbert said you will not get a step by step here best bet is to search the guides or just google it.Its not that hard really and imo you will only brick it if you dont follow the guides right. My next task this weekend is flashing my first 360 so if any one got advice on that let me know lol

    i would start here: http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-new...cks-index.html

there are loads of how to's and guides contained on this site. look around and read a lot before you start. none of the basics require you to be a brains surgeon. the soft mod guides (make certain you just choose the right one for your box, there are 2 as pointed out already) make the job really simple if you have patience and follow the steps in order. my only suggestion is to download and print out the guide you need and to read it AT LEAST 3 or 4 times BEFORE you even start to mod your box. have patience and you'll be successful.
