    snmb crashes

I'm playing snmb from external hdd using neogamma r8 and sometimes it crashes in the middle of a level and i will get the "refer to the manual something". my wii won't respond anymore and i have to turn it off and turn it on again. what's causing this? is it the iso or the loader?

I suggest you consider changing your USB loader to USB Loader GX. It works flawlessly with NSMB loaded from the HDD.

    Gaz:

It works flawlessly with Neo Gamma R8B7 and R8RC1; loader would not be the source of the problem (my significant other and the kids play it daily).

To the OP: did you check the NSMB guide here? Also, if it plays awhile and then errors out, you could be experiencing HD spindown (certain HDs stop their rotation upon perceived inactivity). Did you check your drive against the compatibility lists here and here?

I want to cry right now. I dont know how many times this question has been asked in IRC and the forums.

The black screen your seeing is the BCA Copy protection. NeoGamma itself doesnt patch this (Although I think the RC1 might), you need take a look at dave_pm's guide, it should fix you up. http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/28...ario-bros.html

Ya i know you get these type of questions a lot from noob like me. I've been doin a lot of reading (I got a week old wii and got still lot of modding practices and troubleshooting to do) and sometimes even after reading Im still not clear what to do. Sometimes I also miss tuts like dave's since I was so eager to play nsmb. Thanks for pointing it to me. I will keep on reading...

uLoader seems to be working fine so far. I've been playing for severals hours again last night without a glitch

BCA will kick in, in about 6 minutes, so if you make it past 10, you're good.

Did you do anything to the NSMB ISO or just change loaders?

    Grats to you?

You suggested HDD Spin down, I said BCA. I went into detail on BCA, you just through a link to dave's guide.

Dont come trolling when others try to assist.
