You need to have a PC and a SD Card Reader.....

You will need either a USB Flash Drive or an External USB Hard Drive.
You don't have to buy a Chip.....

    There is your simple answer....

You need wad manger in the apps folder of your sd card, and your wad in the wad folder of your sd card. You then go to HBC and start wad manger look for your wad and install it.

Use this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html . You can even download all the files you need. Sounds like your at step B. But you should read through it to make sure. And it is very unlikely that you are going to be able to burn games and play them, because you have a 4.2 wii. But you can still use a USBloader.

I have a wii version 4.2. I did the recommended tutorial to softmod my wii and I am able to play backup disks on my wii.

You got lucky and didn't get the D3-2 drive. What mods did you do. Maybe I did something wrong.

I used the mod that you recommended and it worked great. Maybe I did get lucky. Did you update your wii to 4.2?

The problem is not found on the firmware but on the drive. If you have bought your wii the last 2-3 months it is quite possible that you will have the new drive

What messie is telling you Gabba.

The best option is going for USB loading. Guide can be found in my sig.
