    Hdd

I'm new to this, and I haven't bought a HDD yet but I was wondering if there is a certain brand and if a 1tb will work with the wii

There is a thread in tutorials on which ones are compatable (western digital is recommended if I am not mistaken)

Yea Western Digital was my choice, just cant install games from the wii to the hdd if its over 500gb. And a TB works fine.

I wasn't aware of that fact. I almost got the 1tb also. It is a much quicker cleaner process to be able to rip em directly to my HDD, I think anyway.

    Us WD 1TB harddrive partitioned

i bought a WD 1 TB harddrive and partitioned it to
W: 500 GB for Wii games (used the WBFS manager to format it to WBFS)--prmary
X: 500 GB for anything else and this is formatted as NTFS--logical

My problem is when i use the USB Loader Gx to install a game it is so slow and the it gets hung up...what gives??

For example trying to backup/install Wii Fit Sports and its only 1.03 GB it takes up to 45 minutes and then gets stuck 74.58% and wont go any further.
I try it multiples times and still same problem.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

also 500gb is the max the wii can rip to, try tuning it down like 20gigs.
