semi-bricked ((opera screen)) cant get wads to install via wad mananger.

    Hiya guys,

I have a semi-bricked wii with opera screen no system menu, we tried various things we have seen on forums
    - using the ios disc (( wii didnt detect a disc got error message))
    - using a new wii game to try and get an update ((nothing at all))

so we went down the route of installing HBC which we managed got WAD manager 1.3 on there and downloaded the IOS30-64v1040 and system menu-v290 which we extracted from the disc we downloaded ((we have PAL wii)) . . . . wad manager starts up finds the 2 above wads but when u click thru to install we get error 1035, we dont know what firmware the Wii is running at the mo as we are locked out of system settings, I've read on here we possibly need to downgrade but how do i know what to downgrade to if I dont what i'm already running.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated i've been at this for 2 days now and its givin me a headache lol

    Thanx

Ok looks like you are running 3.4E (IOS50 v4889)

You'll need a cIOS installed to install anything else. http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...0-4-1-wii.html

You shouild then be able to run Wad manager 1.4 or 1.5 using your new cIOS.

    Install IOS50 v4889 IOS50-64-v4889.wad
    and then
    Sys Menu 3.4E SystemMenu3.4PAL-v386.wad
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
