    this is what i am told

    Your drive most likely has the following chipset:
    There is a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D3-2 (v2) with no drive chip.
    And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is Combined GC2-D3 with no drive chip.
    Lastly, a 25% chance the chipset is .

    so i guess i am screwed right?

    edit: i mean there is no chance of playing burnt dvd's right?

    With a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D3-2 (v2) with no drive chip, u're in 50%+ unable to play backup disc.
    ur ultimate solution will be using LOADER(ie. usb loader, wiiflow, neogamma,..etc)
