Wii Bootup after softmod noob q

Is my wii supposed to boot into bootmii everytime I boot after the softmod? I then select Wii and it goes to the preloader (v.30). Then I select system menu and it goes to the Wii main menu so I can load a game. Is this the way it should be or can I change how this works? Thanks in advance!

As long as the bootmi folder is present on the sd card it will boot to bootmi. back it up to the pc. Got to the preloader settings and change that to boot to the system menu.

Thanks for the input. I will try this tonight and let you know! I appreciate it! If I back up the BootMii folder on to a pc do I still need the sd card in the slot?? Just for game saves??? Is that it?? Thanks again!

"patch memory just like StartPatch or Preloader. hacks.ini should be on the sd root(only once, they get copied to NAND) and can be found here. "

That was copied from the priioader page on wiibrew.org. In short you dont need the sd card in for priiloader to function except after the first time it is installed so it can copy the hacks.ini file from the root of the sd card.

One last question. I removed the sd card and it booted up into the priiloader. If I set it to use ios 60 or 70 as said previously, how do I get back to the priiloader menu if I don't set it to boot into the priiloader?? Thanks in advance again!

Hold down reset while powering down and back up.
