I have a FAT32 partition as well. I will also keep trying to figure this out. If I discover anything I will post it too.

I personally don't have the info for this as usning a small sd card has worked well for me and I never needed to look into other options.

She says she doesn't use it and uses a newer version of the wbfs manager. Maybe she knows how.

OK, got it to work. Go here 4shared - free file sharing and storage - share folder - USB Loader GX Channel WADs and download USB Loader GX r815 - ULNR.wad. Go to wad manger uninstall r850 and install the one you downloaded. Pull out your sd card and boot usbloader. You'll lose all you usbloader settings, but it is easy to reset them. I can't seem to update coz it says my console is locked whatever that means. Another problem to figure out. Oh well. At least I can use usbloader without the sd card now.

I have everything working fine now. But it seems that you have to have an sd card in the slot to save any settings or to do an update. If I reload USB loader without the sd, all settings are lost. No cover art, no themes, nothing. I set all the default directories to the usb. No joy. I'm about to beat my head against the wall. I'm outta ideas. If you have better luck please let me know. I'm gonna start a new thread to see if any of the moderators have any idea.

It sounds like you've answered your own problem, just take out the SD card when you're not using the Wii!

If you still want to transfer to the hdd, I just copied everything from my sd card to the root my fat 32 partition and it works like a charm. I was able to put my 8gb card back in my camera LOL.
