I am stuck on: PART B: The extermination of the evil stub ios249

I had my wii since early 2007 and also had HBC for about 6 or 7 months now.

My new project is to get the USB Loader GX installed. I am not a complete noob and not a complete idiot, since I have been successful installing the HBC a long time ago. I feel that I will need extra help with my new project.

My wii has System Menu 4.2U

When I open the HBC, at the top right corner I see the following two lines:

    1.0.6
    IOS61 v21.29

I know the first line basically says I have HBC version 1.0.6 installed...but the second line about the IOS, I don't understand. Any inputs?

Also, I have been following this guide here:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-new...tem-menus.html

BUT, I am stuck on: PART B: The extermination of the evil stub ios249

I tried the "GET THIS PACK" download link and I also tried the "GET THIS PACK 2" download link....

I have an official white 2GB SD card "for wii" from Sandisk...when I put the files

    root:\Wad\
    root:\bootmii\
    root:\startup.elf
    root:\boot.dol
    root:\00000001\ <-(if available)

on the root of SD card, and then place the card in the wii, I start up the HBC....and press the "Home" button on the wii mote...all I get is the following:

    Back
    About
    Exit to System Menu
    Shutdown

Now according to the guide, the wii should boot to bootmii then I just go to step B5....OR....I select bootmii and wait as explained in step B4

MY PROBLEM is that neither one of these two possibilities happen for me.

I just sit there looking at my tv that shows the following:

    Back
    About
    Exit to System Menu
    Shutdown

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

you need to run the hackmi installer and install bootmi.

THanks, since I am new here, I am less than 5 hours old. lol

And I am sure you no the best stuff/guides on this site....any chance you can get me a link that explains this in further detail for me? I'll need a step by step guide to run the hackmi installer and install bootmi.

The files that I placed on the root of my SD card, is that not what I need?

Also, I completely skiped over everything in Part A of the guide that I hyperlinked in the OP. I already had HBC on my wii, so i skipped every step in Part A....that sould not be messing me up now should it?

I started with Part B and have not got very far, perhaps an edit to the guide is needed to make this more clear...I am really good following directions, but I think there are steps missing in the guide. Hope i can get a good tip. thanks
