Well, I guess I'll install bootmii but I don't see any REAL reason to upgrade to 4.1. All my games are working, even NSMB Wii and everything's ok, is there anything that makes 4.1 completely needed?
Also, sorry for the very noobish question, how do I go to the bootmii screen?..
Edit: If I won't be able to install bootmii as boot2 but only as an IOS, will I have to use preloader?

you'll need to update to 4.1 to use it. It may save your wii.

Hey guys, I have a question about my bootmii. I only had the option to install bootmii as IOS. I am running firmware 4.2 with priiloader installed. When I go into the HBC and hit the home button and then click on bootmii, I do not think anything happens. Is there any files that have to be on my SD card for Bootmii to actually load? Do I need the boot.dol file on my SD card for Bootmii to load up properly? I would like to do a NAND backup even though it won't help me too much at the moment. Thanks for any suggestions.

yes you need 3 files on your SD card in the bootmii folder. the files are armboot.bin , ppcboot.elf and bootmii.ini . If you installed bootmii that folder should have been created in the ROOT of your SD card. hope this helps

    I'm on firmware 3.2u & cIOS rev14.
When I run hackmii 0.6 using HBC, I was only given the option to install BootMii.
I managed to installed bootmii in boot2 & did my NAND backup.
However, I was not allowed to install HBC & DVDX v2. Why is that so?

Realized that it could be due to the fact that I disabled wifi that caused the first 2 options (for updating HBC & installing DVDX v2) to be unavailable.
