    222 223 help

So I am having the same problem alot of people have had with ssbb where you can play all the way thru regular or the first battle of the new mode then the screen goes to the Please eject the disc and restart system screen.
read all the previuse posts and it says you need to boot from 222 or 223 instead of 249 and to install whatever it was. the question i have is im using usb boot loader gx that was part of the messie 4.2 guide (used it to softmod love it great guide) and i updated the usb loader as well. it has a option under settings to boot from 222 or 223 or 249 so i changed to 222 but still the same problem. Do i really have 222 and 223 on my wii or do i still need to do something and its just not really doing anything until i put the files there
thanks in advance for anyone that can help me out on this, found a ton of other posts about the game but nothing that explains having the option but it not working for the different ios's

Look here for Hermes IOS 222 install. Take it from me who actually went to the trouble on SSBB. You have to install Hermes before ever ripping the DVD9. IOS249, even for ripping a dual layer disc, is broken and will result in corrupt data. You will also have to install a compatible loader (that supports IOS 222). I know USB Loader GX and Configurable USB Loader both do; there may be more, but NeoGamma does not --- it's IOS 249 only. On USB Loader GX set the IOS it uses to 222. Insert the disc, the loader will ask if you want to install (read: copy to HD) it; say yes. Now anytime you want to play this title, it will also always have to be under IOS 222 and via a loader set to that IOS. Nothing else currently works... well unless you go to an earlier revision of IOS 249 that supports dual layer but is fundamentally broken in all other ways that Rev 14 isn't.

Messie's guide had you install IOS222 as 38, and IOS223 as 38 merged with 37. All the other guides on the web have you do it the other way around. So you should be using IOS223 to do what ever you're trying to do, where ever you see someone say to use IOS222, you should use IOS223.

Or you could install cIOS38 rev17, and not have to worry about IOS222 or 223 with SSBB. It seems that rev17 has brought back dual layer support.
