    Playing games on USBloader help

    Hi,

I have softmodded my wii 4.2u successfully with messie's tutorial. I have usbloader 1.5 installed on my wii menu and I am attempting to play wii sports resort off my usb drive.

The wii sports resort is a .iso file and it's PAL... I formatted my 4gig kingston with wbfs and loaded the .iso image onto and and I placed the stick in the top usb slot in the back of my wii and then turned on my wii. I went into usb loader, (I made a channel for it) and it is saying no media.... I tried it on both the 2 slots on the back of the wii and i get the same message.

    Can someone help?

    Talking usb games

you are using a wii that is region ntsc and trying to use a pal which is europe, so try downloading the game in ntsc and also your memory stick might not be compatible try using a western digital hard disk drive.hope that helps.

I'm glad this worked for you but I suspect your wii has other issues. I have plenty of pal games that run fine on my NTSC wii. What version of wbfs manager are you using?

    I to have a softmod on 4.2E.
I use a USB Loader v1.5 and I can play either PAL or NTSC format without any issues.
The only game I have had any trouble with was cooking mama 2 on PAL, but I think this was a corrupt iso rather than a hardware/mod issue.

Try reloading your mod. I know it can be a pain but it may do the trick for you.

Then like dogboy said, it might've just been a bad iso. If I can find th game in NTSC I try to stick with that usually. But when I can only find the pal version, it usually runs fine (well I sometimes have to play with the options in USBloader to get it to display properly).

I am doing the same, I am sticking with Ntsc for now. I am going to buy discs tommorow and burn some games, one of them being a pal and I will mess around with it a bit more. I am just glad I was able to get... now my second... game to work I still have so much to learn though lol This forum has been the greatest!

I didn't realize you were burning the games to DVD. As far as I'm concerned DVD's are way to unpredictable. When I modded my wii, I was the same, wanted to burn all the games to DVD. After much headache I just bought a 250gb external mini hdd for like $60 and haven't had a single issue with a game since. I'm at about 30 games including my originals that I dumped on the hdd, and I still barely made a dent in it. This way, I also never have to worry about burning another DVD.
