    PAL games on NTSC system via USB Drive?

    Is it possible to load PAL games on an american system from a USB drive? I know there's a rebooter around, but AFAIK it only works for backups on DVDs...

    Yes, you can. I don't know what you're talking about with rebooter. But, as far as i know, any usb loader will let you load pal games. You will probably have to set the option to force ntsc, but they should work.

    You might have to use preloader, and enable the region free hack, but i dont even think that's necessary.

    don't you have any problems with color or flickering, due to different region (PAL/NTSC)? also, do you think this is possible on a 3.2 softmod? I remember running a PAL backup of No More Heroes and it was 100% Black and White

    There's a setting in your usb loader to force video mode. No there aren't issues with colour or flickering when implemented properly. Yes it works as well on 3.x as it does on 4.x.

    @Ithian

    Do you know if Priiloader is a requirement for a 4.2E system to play NTSC games from Configurable USB Loader?
    I'm hesitant to test, because I am under the impression that 'fiddling' with the region of the console, has the potential to Brick the Wii, and I was not able to install Bootmii to Boo2 ( as it is a newer Wii and install to IOS was my only option )

    I have a couple of NTSC games already, but have not tested them in fear that my Wii may brick.

    Any advice welcome. Thanks

    All that is needed to play games that are "out of region" is to force the region in the loader settings. Sounds like you are overthinking this a bit.

    Yep definitely overthinking. Have Priiloader setup anyway since you only have Bootmii/IOS but it wont have any bearing on allowing you to load you games via USB. Doesn't matter if you're using CFG, Wiiflow, NeoG, whatever.

    Sounds like you might also be confused on the finer points of bricking through an out-of-region game: To clarify, the majority of users who brick from loading an out-of-region game do so because they loaded a DISC version of the game and took the update on that disc. This used to happen fairly often with disc users, but is easily circumvented by using the appropriate system hack setting in Priiloader.

    As a USB loader, you will likely never encounter this problem, but just in case you somehow do, read one of our Priiloader guides (tutorials section) and make sure you've got "Block Disc Updates" turned on. This will effectively prevent you from accidentally playing whack-a-mole with your Wii in the future.
